Although it’s hidden by a very large pile of dirt, work on Phase Two of the construction/renovation project at Greene County Medical Center is continuing on schedule.
Pictured is work on the concrete footings for the elevator shaft and stairwell for the new main walkway that will run along the south (front) side of the building and connect the clinics entrance to the main entrance. The walkway will provide much easier “navigation” of the medical center to patients, visitors and staff.
Yet this month crews expect to finish work inn the new administration wing on Level 1 and begin installing the ceiling gird and lights on Level A in the new clinics space.
The administration staff anticipates moving into its new space in mid-March.
Outside, depending on the weather, passers-by will see steel framework, roofing and glass for the new elevator tower and main walkway.
